Pzl.Me (Puzzle Me) - a new private URL shortening service
URL Shortening services such as tinyurl and bit.ly have become increasingly popular, owing a lot of their popularity to Twitter where long URLs simply don't fit within the 160 character limit.
As we begin to make more use of social media sites such as twitter and facebook, the need for such a service is all the more important for us, and rather than showing favouritism to any particular service we've setup our own!
The new service operates on the domain pzl.me, and currently is only being used internally. If you are interested in being able to use pzl.me URL Shortening yourself please let us know - we may open it out as a public service.
We encourage you to exercise caution when using any shortened URL as it may take you to a malicious site or content, and this is one of the reasons we are holding off on a public launch. Of course we will never knowingly use pzl.me to promote any inappropriate or unsafe content, though we may use it for URLs that incorporate tracking codes. Adding a '+' on the end of the pzl.me URL will enable you to see where you would be taken to if using the URL alone.
